Islamic Imperatives to Curb Corruption and Promote Sustainable Development

This paper produced by Islamic Relief examines the colossal hindrance corruption poses to development efforts and explores Qur’anic teachings that address corruption. By discussing the moral and ethical teachings of Islam, this paper makes clear Islam’s stance on corruption and presents Islamic imperatives on curbing its spread, thus highlighting the potential for faith based organisations to play a contributory role in sustainable development.
